Five of the hottest Spring/Summer 2016 colour trends

The Spring/Summer season is finally here. And as well as sunshine, blossom and turning the heating off, it also means a whole new season trends; colours, textures and materials to inspire and delight budding home improvers.

We've been looking at the hottest colours to look out for this spring. We hope these can inspire you to freshen up your interior!

Rose

Rose Quartz was named as one of Pantone's 2016 signature colours and we couldn't love it more. Whether you go for a rose feature wall or weave it in with soft furnishings and home accessories, this is bound to spring any room into shape. The writers at Houzz love it for these reasons and we 100% agree "More subtle and less shouty than hot pink and less fleshy than salmon, dusty pink has a neutral tone that’s incredibly versatile."

White

Neutrals reigned supreme in 2015 and the trend will continue this year. Simple colours - white and off-white - have the power to brighten a room, make it feel large and spacious and exude timeless beauty. Our Pietra Plano Limestone is right on this trend.

Coral

Adding warmth to any room, coral is one of the hottest colours for 2016. Vibrant and versatile, it can be paired with greys, greens, whites, golds and even navy for a striking interior.

Gold

Metallics are being heralded by many interior magazines as hot for 2016, specifically gold. Named as Dulux's 'colour of 2016', gold can add elegance and grandeur to any room. Include accents of gold with a lamp or cushion - or choose gold fixtures and fittings. Gold accessories can perfectly complement our Al Fresco Classic Tumbled Travertine tiles.

Aqua

Just between blue and green - aqua is a soft yet vibrant spring colour perfect for kitchens, bathroom and pops of colour in a living room. If you're looking for a cooler blue tone, Serenity was Pantone's second colour of the year. We especially love these beautiful toned paired with marble such as our Carrara White polished marble tiles
