Between us, we handle all enquiries, arrange all projects and send out the free samples you can request on online.
Meet the team below, we have asked them some difficult questions for your enjoyment!
Name: Derek Burt
Role at Natural Stone: Founder and manager, I’ve been in natural stone as long as I can remember and love my job and our great team
Favourite part of my job: Well there are a few including travelling to Italy a lot to select materials, but for me it has to be seeing the finished job and knowing that we have helped the customer with improvements to their homes that they will enjoy for many years.
Favourite songs: Again I have a few for different reasons but let’s say "Overjoyed’ by Stevie Wonder and 'Somewhere Only We Know' by Keane
Favourite holiday: Honeymoon in the Maldives can’t be beaten (I hope Yvonne says the same)
Name: Yvonne Burt
Role at Natural Stone: Accounts, packaging and postage of samples and anything else that needs doing!
Favourite part of my job: I love to see the product in its bare state especially if we get the chance to travel to Italy/Portugal/Switzerland as we have in the last couple of year’s. Then the design and transformation in the end result - I don’t get to see every job in person but I do definitely look forward to seeing the photographs.
Favourite song: Lots of favourite songs! I am a big Robbie Williams fan… It has to be ‘Angels’ for me. Also ‘Somewhere only we know’ by Keane
Favourite holiday: ‘Kuramathi Island’ in the Maldives, paradise!
Name: Matty
Favourite part of your job: The most enjoyable aspect of my job is being able to use my experience and knowledge to help customers make the right choices for their projects in both design and function.
Favourite song: A truly impossible question to answer but at the time of asking AC-DC Thunderstruck.
Favourite holiday: The couple of years I spent backpacking in Australia, Thailand and Canada. There's so many countries I'd love to go and explore on a budget with just a backpack.
